Just wanted to say thank you for showing me what to do with regards to replacing the rotary coupler on my wife’s car.  After you left last Monday I called Renault and they quoted £84 for the replacement part.  After recovering from the shock I sourced a second hand unit from thepartsgateway.co.uk which turned up on Friday – I have now fitted the coupler and all is working perfectly.

Thanks for your help looking at my Mondeo and the advice you gave.
I ended up buying the ari flow meter as you suggested from Emission Controls and luckily as soon as I put it in the engine light went off immediately.
My girlfriend drove the car about 10 miles to work today and she said the light didnt come on at all.

Luckily it wasnt the wiring or ecu as you hinted it might be, but thanks for taking the trouble to do the work and to explain to me as well.
